The Update...

Well....its finally time! Its taken me a while to get back to this blog but now I am driven.
As, I introduce my new yoga business www.yogadiamante.com I am motivated to use this blog as a way to express my purpose and meaning in life and yoga. Yoga has been a saving grace for me and has given me the vision and potential to connect with my heart and the spirit as a source of life. Now, of course to some people this may sound like fantasy or maybe even intimidating but finding out who I am truly, what my purpose is, and how to soar through life's challenges with has been one of the most freeing feelings I've ever known, humbly keeping in mind that its just the beginning of the journey, as we never stop discovering or being presented with change. Who said it...? "One thing that is constant is change"
Anyway, life is quite a game if you will, and sometimes we have to search and search for the keys that unlock the doors of happiness and contentment as life presents obstacles and change it is important to remember to be aware that it's our perception and reaction to all that creates the what is. As life leads us through experience after experience we develop a perception of who we are and what defines us. We are all so good at defining ourselves by our experiences, our memories, and  our stories. One of the most important things yoga and prayer has given me is the freedom to realize that my true heart does not necessarily relate to all of my experiences nor do they define me. So with in this perception I have found freedom in the ability to express my self and let go of what I don't need making space and finding freedom within to help others do the same and find a source of happiness or bliss. Everyone wants to be happy and free! And when we learn and discover what our inner truth's are, where our love lies, and what our needs are, we connect to the healing power of earth, energy, spirit, and health. This leads to light, happiness, and freedom! When you feel infinite beauty and love for your self and those around you magic happens.

So, Yoga Diamante is my tool to reach others that are interested in making themselves feel better. My main goal in teaching yoga is show people the gateway to self awareness of the their bodies, minds, and emotions. While yoga has become such a trendy hot bodied workout to mainstream America...I have been fortunate enough to study and explore some depth of this ancient practice of well being and have learned that it is important to incorporate all healing aspects of yoga to get optimal benefits. This means incorporating the practice of yoga postures, breathing techniques, meditation, mantra or sound therapy, discipline, detachment, devotion, spirituality, and self discovery. While each person has different needs I like to tailor the instruction for individual to accommodate their wishes, goals, wants, and needs. We may work on a series of different body movements, breathing, and focusing on something positive to cultivate and build strength, clarity, and balance for the individual. Whats nice about small groups or private sessions is that I get to know the person, how they are, and what they need on a personal level which really allows the individual to dive deep into themselves to find their inner strengths and space to create. My classes can be soft, sensitive, and relaxing or they can be physical, sweaty, and challenging...it all depends on what the student needs, and this is what I love about teaching yoga. Helping people feel good!

So, as I present the beginnings of this journey of mine to the world I give many thanks for the opportunity to be where I am at in my life and send so much gratitude to my guides, teachers, family, and friends for supporting me in finding myself and believing in my spirit. This is a beautiful life we live and I am so thankful for the continuous flow of love and light that keeps me going everyday.

Stay tuned in to www.yogadiamante.com and this blog for more yoga information on love, life, and future events, retreats, workshops, and classes that I may be presenting or hosting.
Much love and light!

What Color is your Passion??

The inspiration for this entry is passion! Passion
Passion is love! It is an emotion of desire and enthusiasm for someone or something.  It drives us towards what we truly want if we make the acknowledgement of what that is! There is no better freedom than following your truth with passion. Following your heart, listening to your true desires and what makes you happy. This is not something to be afraid of or hide; this is something to live, to express, and to be with every inch of your soul. If we don't turn inward and seek what that is, then we may never be truly happy or fulfilled in life. It is important to find this and let it shine and be yourself because, the truth will be with you forever.
If you are passionate about what you really want in life then you can dive into the core of your heart and let your deepest desires flow in a positive light. I don't think there is anything wrong with desire, it is natural instinct and if we cannot release what those desires and feelings are then we will find ourselves out of balance. Express yourself passionately in whatever way you can. Crying, laughing, dancing, singing, making love, and living, be one with it all! The freedom that passionately being yourself brings is the best feeling in the world, it lifts weight off your chest and shoulders, and it makes you lighter and happier. It breaks down the barriers that block our hearts energy rhythms to dynamically vibrate and sparkle in our second chakra, the Svadisthana chakra. The Svadisthana chakra is the energy center below the navel and is where our passions and desires lie. The color for this chakra is orange and the word Svadisthana means "one's own place or base". Wow! How ironic, one’s own place, the place of passion, what truly makes "us" happy! And that's what we all are striving for right? Happiness? Balance?
Although, passion comes from the second chakra I believe we are all passionate about different aspects and emotions in our lives. So ask yourself what are you truly passionate about, and what color is your passion? Today I feel my passion is red! It makes me feel like I am passionately grounded in my stability in who I am and what I am doing with my life and it feels great! Now, this may change tomorrow or in five minutes but that's what I feel now and I am going to let it shine bright red! I forgot who said it but the one thing in life that is constant is change so go with the flow. Just keep following those ever changing truths, seek them out and be who you want to be! Do what you want to do! And feel what you want to feel! There is no reason to suppress any of it! It's who you are! Set yourself free and shine! Shine baby shine! Shine in your own color of passion! With Love to all, you are me and I am you!

Choose Happiness!

Happiness is a choice people! Thats what my yoga teacher says and its true!
You can choose to be happy! Some times are harder than other to make the choice to be happy but if you choose happiness then eventually, you will be! Its all in the attitude!
Most of us have a lot to be grateful for so sit back and ask yourself..
"what do I have to be grateful for?" This should make you happy!

Peace, Love, and Light!

Today I will choose to make myself happy by doing an afternoon tour of the paradise town I live in!
Man...I got a lot to be thankful for! And, later on, I will have another post...just about that!
Ohh! Life is good!

Our Subconscious Cycles

Cycles are a part of life. If you think about it almost everything has a cycle. The most obvious cycles are life cycles, daily cycles of the sun, the cycle of the moon, weekly cycles, monthly cycles, yearly cycles, and so on. What is so intriguing to me right now are the so called subconscious emotional cycles that are happening with in us daily, monthly, yearly. The cycles that cause us to get all geeked out and freaked out in our own heads making us vulnerable to the emotions that trip us up by allowing them to take over.

As I dive deeper to my center through yoga, meditation, and self study, I am starting to realize these cycles that are happening with in me, myself, and I, eeeek! Obviously because I am a woman, Thank God,  I notice the hormonal changes that take place in my body and mind on a monthly basis. And with that being said I do believe that men have their own vicious hormonal cycles, as well. Anyway, lately I am really starting to notice this annoying yearly cycle that goes on with in me. And the reasons this subject is so prominent in my thoughts right now is because I have discovered that for the past couple of years August and April have been hell for me emotionally. Isn't this interesting. One thought or explanation I have on this are the ever changing seasons, and how our bodies, minds, and chemical make ups subconsciously adapt to the changes of the seasons. This makes a ton of sense, as we are animals, you know... and animals seem to naturally adapt and change with the seasons through hibernation, mating, gathering, nesting, etc. I think we humans have had to transform so much to the external world to please others and satisfy ourselves materially that we have really slipped away from the connection that we have with the natural cycles and repetitions in our lives and the significance of them. The significance being that we are a part of nature and it’s quite possible that all of our cycles are instinctual and perfectly normal. I am sure humans have the same hibernation, mating, and gathering instincts as other animals but some of us are also monkey minded emotional beings losing our control. So my question is… are the emotional cycles that surface within us throughout the month, week, year or 5 years instinctual or can they be controlled? Or do they even need to be controlled because these times of hell might be a good for us? And, this goes back to balance, meaning that maybe we have to experience emotional challenges to be happy for the rest of the year because for balance, technically you can’t have one without the other. I guess in the end it is how you react to those emotionally challenging times and how you allow them to strengthen you and build up resistance for the next year or 6 months in my case or 9 months whatever it is. Who knows...its all so complicated but yet so simple. Any of you other human beings experienced anything like this?

For some reason this entry makes me think of a funny joke I heard one time about how life would be a whole lot better if it was in reverse…starting your life as an old senile crippled being and getting younger and more beautiful as the days go by, bringing you to an sweet cudlly infant and at the tail end of your life you are ever so blessed to end it with a hot sexy orgasm. Ha! Isn't that funny.

Cycles, Cycles, Cycles, our natural cycles, lets learn more about them!
